02How many days does a bathroom take?
A basic refresh of the finishes takes a few days. A full remodel, with the tiling stripped out, new plumbing and electrical and fresh tiling, is measured in weeks rather than months. The quote comes with a written schedule, and we sequence the work to give you the bathroom back as soon as possible.
03Do I need a municipal permit to remodel a bathroom?
In most cases, no. Replacing tiling, sanitary ware, taps or lighting without touching structural walls counts as refurbishment and is exempt from a building permit under article 9 of Law 29090. If your project involves knocking down or moving walls it may require a permit, and we will walk you through what your municipality asks for before anything starts.
04I live abroad. Can you run the job without me there?
Yes, and we do it regularly for owners who are not in Peru. You approve the itemised quote in English, we photograph every milestone and send it to your WhatsApp, and any change is put to you in writing before we act on it. Nothing gets added to the bill that you have not approved. If you have a building manager or a tenant on site, we coordinate with them and keep you copied.
05Do your crews speak English?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Our crews work in Spanish on site. What is handled in English is everything you need to understand: the quote, the scope, any change, the schedule and the warranty, all of it in writing. You can write to us in English on WhatsApp at any time, and when something has to be settled on site there and then, we get your point of contact on the phone with the crew. You never have to negotiate in Spanish.
